WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW...

Learning to fly and learning to pilot a plane is an amazing and special experience. Learning how to fly is fun, and requires dedication, determination and focus.

HOW MUCH TIME IS INVOLVED?

You start becoming a pilot by attending "Ground School" (about 38 hours of classes). Then, a minimum of 40 hours of flying is needed, when you will learn everything you should know about navigation, weather, maneuvers, and more. Plan on about 3 to 4 months of lessons.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

The average cost is $3,900 to $4,500 for lessons and plane rental. That's $115.00 per hour and includes the cost ($235.00) of books and materials used in Ground School.   (prices subject to change without notice)

HOW DO I GET STARTED?

It all starts with Ground School, where you take a 38-hour course using book materials and visual aids.  (materials included)

Ground School begins

Dates:  Scheduled on individual basis.  Fall classes also available.

Where:  Vinton County Airport   (22I South Central Ohio)

Cost:  Pay as you fly!
